The Need For More Functionality on Mobile Solutions

Years ago is was out in the field installing my first RFID solution at a county government and was completely underwhelmed by the lack of functionality on the mobile device. All the user could do was take a physical inventory that was it. The user is stuck in the field with no way to add or receive new assets, no way to move or deploy, physical count was iffy...you couldn't do anything about tags ghosting over from the next room, no CI /CO and you couldn't commission or burn the RFID tag. In fact when i asked the partner about adding that feature the partner, who had more hair on his hands than I have on my head advised me to exit the program and go out to the demo.
